what is ysamber k?

Synthetic Ingredient For Perfumery Overview

Ysamber K is a relatively new molecule presented by Symrise to me at Simppar 2022.

I had a conversation with Dr. Marcus Eh, Vice President of Global Marketing - Aroma Molecules Division who explained their range of products with precise attention to detail, just like I do.

Chemically, Ysamber K is an Acetal with a renewable factor of 88% and a biodegradability of 59%

👃🏼 The smell of this material is very intriguing to me as it stays in the olfactive family of iso e super but with a distinct ambery dry note that is very diffusive. Sadly, many people happen to be anosmic to it.

The odor profile (decreasing) is: Woody, Wood-Amber, CedarWood, Fruity

We have personally tested the material's tenacity and can guarantee that it surpasses 10 days on a smelling strip. We say around 400 hrs.

⚛️ Chemical Structure:

1',1',5',5'-Tetramethylhexahydro-spiro[1,3-dioxolane-2,8'(5'H)-2H-2,4a-methanonaphthalene]
