Ethyl Benzoate
Synthetic Ingredient for Perfumery
Ethyl benzoate is a high-impact, medium-strength ester with a sweet, heavy-fruity aroma, hinting at black currant and grape. Predominantly used in heavy-floral perfumes, it complements Ylang-Ylang, Carnation, Tuberose, and Leather fragrances, especially with Labdanum.
Its potency restricts its concentration to a few percent in compositions.
